3D, is it the future or a thing of yesteryear?

Just when you were just getting used to HD TV and HD Televisions are now getting much cheaper. BANG!! 3D comes in and changes the way we watch films and even TV.  But, is this the way forward and if so, whats the catch?  Firstly 3D is nothing new and we have seen it before all before in cinema's.  I think the first film in 3D was a kids movie, and it was called Spy Kids 3D. But now these days most films you see in the cinema are in 3D and to be honest, most of the films aren't really that good.  Now there's even 3D televisions on sale and the first of these new TV's went on sale back in Apirl for only £2000.  If you want to go and see a 3D film there is two things you need to bear in mind. Firstly, it will cost nearly or over £10 and that's quite a lot these days, even if you planning to see the film over and over again and that's a bit much. And secondly, you have to wear these 3D glasses and it can sometimes ruin the moment if you know what i mean.  The one thing I don't want to be coming home everytime from college or work and have to put on these 3D glasses so I could watch, and even though blu-ray films are starting to get much cheaper now and I don't 3D DVD's will ever be a very good idea, that's if they ever decide to make that happan.  All this I think is just a phase that people go throw and will soon not care about 3D TV that much, but on the plus side, I think that people would still like to see 3D films in the cinema and that's fine by me.
